Battlefield 2042‘s Season 7 is unfortunately its final one, but it has introduced a fresh wave of content to the franchise’s latest game. Best Assault Rifles In Battlefield 2042, Ranked

Assault rifles in Battlefield 2042 are some of the most powerful weapons in the game. Here are the best of the best among them.

The centerpiece of Battlefield 2042‘s Future Strike event is Strike Team, which is a 4v4 and 8v8 mode that will probably remind fans of Counter Strike‘s classic format or Call of Duty‘s Search and Destroy mode. In Strike Team, each player has one life per round as both teams battle to either capture an objective or eliminate all opponents. But unlike CS and CoD, eliminated players can still assist their teammates by redeploying as a recon drone that can mark or harass enemies. The mode will be playable across 11 different maps and also has a “Shock Round” feature that forces all players to use predetermined, dev-made loadouts every third round. And Strike Team has even more unique features in store for Battlefield fans.

Battlefield 2042 Getting New One-Life Mode On May 28

In Strike Team, only one user per squad can play as one of Battlefield 2042‘s Specialists, and players can see the opposing team’s composition, which allows for strategy around picks and counterpicks. The new Battlefield 2042 mode places emphasis on thought-out strategy as well as quick-thinking action, as each round only lasts 90 seconds, with six victories required for a match win.

Similar to previous Battlefield 2042 events, Future Strike will add new cosmetic items that can be unlocked for free by earning ribbons while the event is live or by purchasing bundles. These include a rare tag, epic weapon charm, epic RAH-68 Huron skin, and epic Rao skin. The Future Strike event runs from May 28 to June 10.

News surrounding Battlefield‘s next title ramped up a bit after EA’s CEO recently predicted it as being “another tremendous live service” game. Of course, the comment led to some backlash from fans who were frustrated with 2042‘s lifecycle, but the CEO boasted that the next Battlefield is being helmed by the largest development team in the franchise’s history. Fans, as well as EA, are certainly hoping for the next game to be a hit so that Battlefield can rejoin its competitors at the top of the FPS genre.
