Helldivers 2 has released Patch 1.000.103 for the game, rebalancing the spawn rates of meteor showers, among a bunch of other fixes. Arrowhead Game Studios has an enormous hit on its hands with Helldivers 2, and the release of new patches helps to keep the momentum going.

Prior to its release earlier this year, very few predicted the runaway success of Helldivers 2. Even developer Arrowhead Game Studios was caught by surprise by its initial release, with the game suffering from server capacity problems during its launch. Those days feel like a distant memory at this point, with server issues mostly resolved as Helldivers 2 continues to sell well ahead of expectations. The studio has done a great job at ensuring that new content is always on the way, keeping Helldivers 2 fresh for even the most hardcore of players.

Helldivers 2 Player Has a Great Idea to Stop Friendly Fire Griefing

A Helldivers 2 player online comes up with a great idea that would put a stop to friendly fire griefing in certain situations.

The patch notes for Helldivers 2 were posted on the game’s Steam hub, detailing all the changes that have been made with the new update. Of all the changes, the biggest is easily the rebalancing of planetary hazards. Now, tremors, meteor showers, volcanic activity, fire tornados, and ion storms will all spawn much less frequently. Meteor showers have been nerfed even further, with reduced explosion radius, reduced meteor damage and velocity, and a change in color to make them easier to spot. Other big fixes include the reduction of incidents involving patrols spawning on top of players, and the new Exosuits in Helldivers 2 should no longer destroy themselves when firing a missile while turning.

The patch notes for the 1.000.103 update also confirmed a list of known issues in the game. As of right now, friend requests in Helldivers 2 are bugged cross-platform, leading to many players being unable to send invites to their friends on another platform. While this is a frustrating issue, it’s good to know that Arrowhead Game Studios is aware of it and is working to resolve it. As well as this particular bug, other known problems include Exosuits being delivered in a damaged or broken state, and Strategem beams attaching to enemies but being deployed to their original location.

With plenty of gamers jumping onto Helldivers 2 daily, it’s crucial that Arrowhead Game Studios keeps up the pace with these types of fixes. The community is extremely excited by the possibility of content to come, and some even think that Helldivers 2 is teasing a new enemy. While nothing is officially confirmed, the game will always benefit from new enemy types being introduced to keep combat feeling fresh and exciting. Players should stay tuned to see what the developer has in store for Helldivers 2 over the next few months.
