The various weird Paradox Pokemon introduced in the latest Pokemon titles have inspired plenty of fan artwork, and one member of the games’ community has created new forms for the legendary Pokemon Zygarde based on the future Paradox Pokemon encountered in Pokemon Violet exclusively. The abnormal designs of these Paradox Pokemon, combined with the many lingering questions associated with them, have piqued the curiosity of countless Pokemon enthusiasts and led many to imagine what other fan-favorite Pokemon could look like as Paradox variants.

Many of the concepts that have been pioneered by fans involve recreations of the many different legendary Pokemon seen throughout the massive Pokemon world, though it’s true that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet do include some official legendary Paradox Pokemon. Such creatures involve the Legendary Beasts, better known as Suicune, Entei, and Raikou, as well as the Swords of Justice, Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion. Though the Legendary Beasts are only obtainable in Pokemon Scarlet version while the Swords of Justice are exclusive to Pokemon Violet, both trios are complete with their own new looks and capabilities, with each group seemingly originating from different points in time.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s new Paradox Legendary Beasts and Swords of Justice are shiny-locked, but there are two ways how this could change.

With both Paradox and legendary Pokemon in mind, one artist known as JJonnie has recently shared some designs of their own, which feature new forms for the legendary Pokemon Zygarde. These awesome concepts envision what Zygarde would look like as a “Future” Paradox Pokemon, with two different forms of the creature presenting how it would look in its different modes. Iron Mech, as it has been named by its creator, seems to feature both a “Snake” mode and a “Sentinel” mode, with the former configuration using the Dragon and Steel type, and the latter boasting an alternative Steel and Ground type. The design itself uses many of the same elements seen in other Pokemon Violet Paradox Pokemon.

These forms are clearly based on the 50% Form and Complete Form Zygarde variants that fans are already familiar with, though the artist didn’t provide a Paradox variation based on Zygarde’s 10% Form. Given the new insights into Paradox Pokemon lore with Scarlet and Violet‘s DLC, some fans believe that there’s room for new Paradox Pokemon based on legendaries to be added in future titles.

The Case For Paradox Pokemon to Return in Future Pokemon Titles

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paradox Pokemon Are New Fossils

As it stands though, the future of the Pokemon franchise is very much shrouded in mystery, despite there being plenty of rumors circulating the community online. Whether Paradox Pokemon will have a meaningful presence in future titles is yet to be seen, and with the next Pokemon games being rumored to take players back to the fan-favorite Johto and Unova regions, it seems somewhat unlikely that many of Gen 9’s features will see a return in the next major Pokemon titles.
